WOLA offers legal advice to women. Two lawyers represent women who have not legal representation in court. The lawyers also visit women in the rural areas, working in cooperation with the Mobile Teams. WOLA participates in lobbying for legal ban on FGM. WOLA advises the Teams on legal issues, provides legal help for women emergency cases, and takes part in evaluation and monitoring. WOLA works in cooperation with women’s shelters and local authorities. Women in gander can be offered a save place.

WADI is an independent, non-profit and non-partisan relief organization supporting  gender mainstreaming and women’s rights programs in Iraq, Jordan, Syria and Israel. Beside the work in the region, WADI is lobbying in Europe for the rights of women and girls in Middle Eastern societies, for refugee rights and the democratization of the Mashreq region. All programs are run in close collaboration with local democratic and civil-rights organizations. Since 1995, WADI operates its own office in Iraqi Kurdistan. WADI is an active part of several networks of local women’s organizations and cooperates with a variety of local and international organizations and UN agencies.
